We had a tossed strawberry salad today, nothing simpler. Just take around a cup full of strawberries, discard green ends, and slice. About three cups of chopped leaf lettuce. Add just a leaf or two or three of finely chopped - I used scissors- fresh mint and basil. Toss it all together and then grate in some sharp or aged cheddar. Its all to taste - your taste. Fool around with it and add other fresh herbs or use another berry or experiment with different lettuces.
