Romaine is great grilled. See Gourmet May '06 - I also adore grilled fruits, the sugar will carmelize quickly and give you a wonderful combination of sweet and char. Peaches, nectarines, pineapple are all great on the grill. Figs, only moments. Corn in the husk with my special compound butter dubbed "Jackie's better than sex butter" one July 4th.
